Default Storing A Car in Trailer...........your opinions??

I am in the process of buying a NICE 69 Camaro in North Carolina. I may want to leave it back east to attend a few shows or cruises. Is there any REALITY in storing a car inside box car trailer using a dehumidifer, heater or ????.....also might it be feasable to use one of those bubbles (with fan) inside of a trailer......Pardon the "inept" questions but seeking your expereinced opinions..If this might work I'll also be shopping for trailer........Respectfully, Chuck Sharin

Chuck, are you thinking of storing it in a trailer in this part of the world?? I don't think it would be a problem with a few dehumidifiers in the trailer. It does't get that cold here to cause a problem. If you are thinking about buying a trailer give me a call. Jim

Jim, Actually I am thinking about buying a trailer "back east" as thats where car is located I am buying.....I have people who can keep trailer (with car inside) stored but they dont have inside storage available. I have had some offers of indoor storage, but figured I'll need to move car around anyway and eventually bring home to Seattle......With regards to trailers did you have a suggestion or want to sell yours....I know there use to be a trailer thread which I'll have to search for......Thanks, Chuck

I can't see why you couldn't store a car in a trailer during the winter, it's not that much colder in a trailer compared to a garage. There's not much condensation going on in the winter, unless the temperature is fluctuating radically.

So, Chuck's buying a 42foot gooseneck, nice!

Chuck, another thing to consider is the insurance coverage. Hagerty requires the cars to be stored in a locked garage. Jim

Chuck,
If you're still serious about it, I know someone who did just that. He had his ISCA, Super Chevy, winning 1963 SS 409 Impala stored in his car trailer during the winter. He runs a business called Show Cars. 507-233-1958. His name is Brad Ranweiler from New Ulm, Minnesota. He could tell you if he had any problems.
