I see it's listed as a 68-69 427 block for either 2 or 4 bolt mains, but I was wondering what engines used this block? I found a Dec 68 casting.

Jeff--- All I can find is that it was used in (1968) Passenger cars as a 390 HP 2 bolt and again as a 425 HP 4 bolt engine along with the Vette as a 390 HP 2 bolt and 400/430 & 435 HP 4 bolts
Also used in 69 for the same type cars but for the passenger cars it was rated at 335/390 & 435 HP all 2 bolt while the Vette had the 390 HP 2 bolt and the 400/430 & 435 HP were 4 bolts. Said to be the first block to use dowl pins for the timing chain cover. Also had the TALL TOWER distributor casting boss located inside fo the lifter galley. Is there any partial VIN on it at all?

I'm waiting for the guy to check the block for the engine code. It's been rebuilt so I doubt there will be any codes left.
