What do the colors on the drive shaft represent ??
What does an orange, green, and white band on the drive shaft represent.

They are nothing more than a way for the assembly line worker to locate the correct driveshaft for that particular car by sight so as to speed the build process of the car. Many parts on a car are done in this manner. The colors are also listed on the build sheet as well to let them know what color shaft to locate.

Can you tell us what motor, trans, and rearend your car has? Others who did not find the stripes on thier drive shaft may be able to use this information. Thanks, Greg
