I came across a fall, 1984 Muscle Car magazine article about a company called Rat Power Ltd. in Alpine, N.J. that was transplanting 427s into 3rd gen Camaros. They were using crate L-88s along with the 435hp 3X2 intake system. The engineered package included trans, rear axle and chassis modifications to handle the extra hp. Bob Caruso was the chief of Rat Power. Anyone remember the company, the cars or Mr. Caruso?

I worked for "Corvette Country" in Alpine in 87-88. They still had one of the Z's in the back lot.

Any idea how long they were in business and how many conversions they might have done? Camaros only?
