Default 69 front seats

Do the seat back rests normally have any of the "s" springs
like the cushions do? The pair we have has never been apart and there are no springs. However it appears that there are places for them to be attached to the frames. Thanks, Frank

In 69, seat backs were of two varieties. One used the springs attached to the seat frame, and foams without internal springs. The other used foams with internal springs molded in. Both used the same seat backs.
