I've owned 2 BB '70 Camaros and they seemed to be semi gloss on the rear panel.

Kim,
The '68 & '69 cars were a semi gloss (60 - 70%) so I would guess the '70's were too. Was it just the tail lite panel on your car or the lower valance too? I've seen some cars with the lower panel black also but I always figured that was an afterthought. GM just did the upper portion.
Just some memories from the moldy old mind!

My 70 L-78 Camaros appears to have the Original paint on the Taillight Panel......I will attach picture......Brian "BKH" has experience with this situation however my search on this site couldnt find his quote. I know of no paint code for this but its quite glossy, but not a full gloss......but more than "semi-gloss".....Chuck

Kim,

Maybe Joe S. can give some feedback. The black paint on his 68 Chevelle hood seemed flat black to me or an eggshell, about 30% gloss? Maybe the same type paint was used for details like this. Supercars 68 Camaro also had some black added on I think? Wonder what ratio flat/gloss is on that car. Both are original paint cars.

That's the way I remember them. Seems that some of the 'Tuned' cars had the lower panel painted. I know Grumpy's was that way at one time.
