A friend of mine is restoring an LS6 Chevelle and he has been told that all LS6 distributors have the same January date. I know that many distributors have the same date because of batching, but it seems a little strange that only one date would be used for all of the LS6 cars? Can anyone help? Thanks,

Mark,
There were 4 dates used on the 1111437 and January is actually the rarest of the dates to locate as far as I have found which is contrary to what one would think. Rick

I should clarify my first response. There are 4 dates for the (1970) LS6. GM continued to offer the 1111437 for several years and those were dated accordingly but obviously not correct for a 1970 car.

Isn't the March stamping the rarest of the bunch?
That 3500.00 one on ebay was one,and thus referred to it in the description. I thought that was one of the reasons it fetched so much. |
