Hello,I dont have a yenko, but I have a question. In the 70s there was a 69 Yenko camaro in Union,Mo.The owner was David Eads.Or I think he went by Butch Eads.I never knew this car or person, but since I have camaros, many people tell me about the car,and ask if I know where it went.Ive lived here all my life but I was too young to know.A friend of mine who is 5 years older than I said he could have bought the car for $2500,but his father wouldnt allow it.My question is this,Is the car still alive and known about,or is it gone?I got this site from the crg site.I looked it up to find out about the GM archives thing(man I hope thats true).Very nice site boys.If Jim Shockley is out there, this is chris from Union with the JL8 car. Thanks

About all I can probably find out about is the color of that Yenko.I did a title search in Missouri on my own car 8 years ago , and it gave me all the owners names, addresses at the time.etc. I just thought someone could have done the same with this particular car. This car is a legend around here,Id just like to know if its still around just for conversation. There was also a Yenko chevelle in Trealoar Mo.not far from my town, that was bought not too many years ago.Car was unbuyable for years and years. Then the guy sells it out of the blue.I heard that car left the state.

Chris, welcome to the board! The car you speak of was owned by dave eads from 73-76 or 77,he purchased the car from joe pecca, joe had owned the car from 71-72 or 73,the car was then sold to another guy and he had crashed the car in the 70s,what a shame, this car was not a 69 but a 68!dave drove the car to college for about a year before deciding to sell,he was asking 2500.00,but could not get it so he took 1500.00! the car was blue with black interior,4speed,had the stinger hood with locks, gauges. The car supposedly came out of a kansas city dealer new in 68,Chad

I attend to a few cars in a private collection, one being a Yenko Camaro with a MO title history. It has been in the collection since the late '80s, never shown. It is automatic.

Wow Chad, that is about exactly the story I heard about the car.I heard both 68 and 69 from people.I went with 69 because 69 came up more often. So the Eads car is Dead.Funny thing noone here knows what happened to it,how did you know? Just to be curious.

cuz he's the human version of a blood hound and a graduate of the "mr70's" Who's Who in the car world. Give him a lead and get out of his way!

Chris, dave sold the car to a guy named steve, shortly after that the car was crashed, noone knows to what extent but back then a $1500.00 car cracked hard in the front was not worth anything but parts,i am still tracking the leads but looks like another yenko that bites the dust

The rumor I heard is that it's in a field somewhere in Rosebud, MO rusting away.

I was at a car show in Chillicothe, MO this weekend and there was a "Yenko" drag car there. Stupid me, I failed to get a vin number off of it, I automatically assumed it was a clone. Hugger Orange with white interior, roll cage and 5 point harness. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/
