Default Cruising Charlotte

I'm in Charlotte NC for the month of August. Can anyone tell me if there are any good cruise spots in the area.
Or how about good weekend car shows.

Thanks
Billy

Billy,

I'am 125 miles from Charlotte and can't be specific, but I know there are tons of 'gearheads' in the area. Ask around, some of the locals will know of any cruise spots. A couple of suggestions for weekend fun:

!. Visit Mooresville, NC, home of most NASCAR Winston Cup teams. Most of the shops have showrooms/view windows. Jump on I77 and go north...its not far away.

2. Take in Floyd Garrett's Muscle Car Museum in Sevierville, TN, located in the Pigeon Forge (Dollywood) area. Floyd is a super 'car guy' and has a fantastic collection. Its well worth your time. Take I77 North to I40 and go West. Get off at exit 407 (Hwy. 66) and go South 9 miles. The museum is on the right just after you pass Volunteer Chevrolet.

Enjoy your stay in NC.

Creig,
Thanks for the feed back. So far no luck with the locals. I will keep trying.
Plans on hitting Floyds museum on the way back home.

DEI and Petty Enterprises are both close to Charlotte. An interesting contrast to say the least!
Also, Atlanta and GMMG are only a few hours down the road.

I might just do that.
