Most did not have power steering. Not sure of the ratio, but quite large I'm sure!

About 30% of the Deuces had power steering.

I have information on several COPO Chevelles and none of them came with power steering. I guess if you need power steering you also need a 4 door Impala. Right Pete?

I don't think alot of muscle cars were ordered with power steering. Cost you about ten horses. I had three new cars in the 60s and none had power steering

As for 427 cars, our Camaro has it, but our Chevelle and Nova are without it.

We've also owned a couple of '69 L-78 cars, and the Chevelle had it while the Camaro didn't.

I think *maybe* Pete's Chevelle has ps, but I can't remember?

My '72 Nova didn't come with PS. My Dad added it because I kept hitting things when I first got my license. It helped because I did not have any other accidents after we put it on.

Our L78 car doesn't have PS either. You had better have both hands on the wheel for low speed turns although it is fine out on the open road. I thought that one of those old steering wheel spinners would look nice. The wife didn't think so.

In the middle of restoring my copo and despite it's originality I'm seriously considering adding power steering. I added power steering to my very original z ( my prior 69 z's all had manuel steering )when we restored it and in my opinion it is a hell of a lot more driveable.
