I have been looking over my 69 Camaro survivor I just bought from a 89 year old lady in San Jose Ca and the rear end code is not correct as it should be.The code is a PZ and thats right but this is a 12 bolt posi not a 10 bolt as a PZ would be.Wonder if the guy stamping just messed up that day? Rear Code

This one from the same source, but for 1968 says 12 bolt!
I would say, considering yours is a "proven" 12 bolt, that the 69 listing is probably wrong. However, I don't understand your "F" code for the posi. I've never seen an "F". Only "E" (Eaton), "D" (Dana) and "W" (Warren). Anyone else??? Ed

Or.... After thinking about it for awhile, another possibility is that the 69 listing is correct, but you have a 68 rear end. What's the date code on the front of the pumpkin? Your stamping is December 11th so the pumpkin should be the same or a litte before that. It will also list the year. The format will be something like:
L108 for December 10th, 1968 (for the 1969 model year). Also, after looking closer at your first picture, what appears to be an "F" might actually be an "E", just with the lower "leg" stamped very lightly. Kind of hard to tell though. Ed

OOPS! Check that. The date code will be on the BACK of the pumpkin. Here's an example of mine. "D168" or April 16th, 1968...

allcamaro. PZ is correct for a 1969 2.56 posi rear. Some of the other codes on that list are also incorrect, they're listed as 10 but they should be 12 bolt.

My axle info is correct and the #'s look fine. Most axle lists have errors on them, there's one.
![]() Was my guess right? Is it a LM1 car?
