Default stormer vs 427

I have a springfield ma newspaper ad in may of 68' listing three 67 yenkos for sale, 2 at a used car guy at 3000$ I presume each. Then 1 at a private sale for 5100$. Now the highest I've seen stickers for new yenkos in 67 is around 4200$. So how is a guy asking a grand more for aused one . I 've read stormers went for about 5200-5600, now that would justify a 5100 used price 6mths later. What stormer options constituted a grand higher sticker in the first place?? did they ever offer stormer packages on ss427s??

Matt, is this the ad you mention?
<font color="blue">
May 31, 1968, Springfield, MA Daily News
CAMARO YENKO 427 4-SPD.
Many extras. Cost new $5100. Must
sell $2950. Will consider trade. Call
</font>

The $5100 is price sold new. This is in line with what others sold for new to end user. Some were around $5300

Yenko's invoice to his network dealers was around $4100 to $4300

Yenko Stormers were race prep Z/28s at around $6000

thanks joe, that wasn't the ad I was given but that makes more sense the one I had, sounds more inline for a used price, thanks for digging that ad out.

could you order a roll bar and safety restraints on a 427stomper as an option like you could on z28stormer ?? I got supports welded in my roof line behind front seats w/ two vertical holes, we guess where two large bolts held in a rollbar and /or restraints, cleanly welded in at that, and cut headliner just where it would protrude nicely.
