Do any of you guys know where I can get the "J" nut and screw listed on page 875 of the 1970 Factory Assembly manual items 3 and 5? Somebody must carry these obscure fastners and screws! Thanks in advance.

I know what you are referring to.I've had good uck with "U" nuts,then crimping off 1/3 of them with side cutters to make them into "J" nuts. Works fine if your local hardware store does not carry these,as well as that screw. Rick |

Thanks Rick. I will try that. Nobody is going to see that part as I just want the radio to be supported correctly. I've been hunting down parts for this (including and original support bracket) and radio towers (from Andy Filkins) and I came up 2 small parts short after reading the manual again.
