Default Mosports 70 Camaro

About a year ago I was looking for an original summer cruiser, classic car. The only requirement was it had to be something different (for me). I did some searching and thought that a nice second generation Z-28 would do just fine. Well, after a summer's worth of searching I came up empty handed. I posted a wanted add for a second generation Camaro here and Stefano replied with a 17,700 original mile 1970 Camaro. I knew this one was it.

Turns out the Camaro is everything I wanted minus the Z-28. It is documented by the Protect-o-Plate, dealer invoice, dealer installed a/c brochure and sticker plus numerous other sales receipts. It was sold out of Jerry Roth Chevrolet in Lakewood Colorado on July 2nd, 1970 to Sarah Conway. Sarah only drove the car to church on Sundays which was less then a mile away from her house. In 1990 she felt she was too old to drive the car, so she gave it her nephew David. The Camaro had 5000 miles on it. David had the car until 2002 and sold then sold to a man in Chicago. The man in Chicago (Jeff) had the Camaro for just a few months and then sold it to me.

The Camaro does have a lot of options. It has PS, PB, custom interior, deluxe interior, a/c, auto trans, dual speakers, am push bottom radio and the Z-21 style trim group (which was standard on the RS Camaro). I talked to a few second generation experts and they concluded it was odd to see a non-RS car with Z-21 style trim group which is the chrome molding behind the hood. The motor is L-65 (350CI, 250HP) Believe it or not, the car does have a nice punch for a small-small block. The color is autumn gold on tan. The Camaro is completely original too. Engine, trans, rear, paint and interior are all original. Virtually nothing has been changed on the car.

I have driven the Camaro about 2000 miles since purchasing the it. I have not had a single problem with it and recently treated the Camaro to an engine compartment, under carriage detail, along with a new heater core, recharged a/c compressor and a set of 1970 Z-28 wheels. My greatest love for this car is its originality. I owe you guys a true thank you for this car. Without the board, I would not be so lucky to have made the purchase. Thank sYc for the car and for reading!
