Default GM of Canada Flawed info

Your probably the only guys in the world that might find this interesting

I took Mr70's advice and contacted George Zapora at GM of canada's Vintage Vehicle Services for a report on my chevelle. For a nominal fee they faxed a report to my office within 24 hrs.

The build sheet and dealer invoice that came with the car clearly show the LS5 option. The info sheet that George faxed me showed the following:

Engine:454 4bbl TurboJet
Engine Code: T1020CTX
under RPO's the LS5 option is listed

When i looked at my engine pad the engine code is T1020CRT + Vin #
I went to the chevelle stuff site where the engine codes are listed and the CTX is for an L35 402 4bbl engine. The code on my engine CRT is for the LS5 454 4bbl engine.

I emailed George to question this and he said it had to be a typo in their records but it was on the micro film so it was carved in stone and he couldnt change it on the Docs he is going to send me. So my options are to have erroroneous info on the Docs or he can omitt all references to the engine code.

BTW very nice guy and very prompt in returning all my emails.
