Howdy, a little over 4 years ago I was coming out of the local Starbucks(in the NW we go there everyday) and a local that new I was a "Car Guy" asked if I knew anyone interested in a '66 Nova. I said no but asked if it happened to be an L79. Answer:Yes. What color? Answer: Black. Decided I might be interested. Bought the car a couple of months later. Turned out the car was the highest scoring Nova at the Nationals in Denver in 1988, 1st runner up in Louisville in '89, top scoring Nova at the Nats. in New York 1991. It was the NNN club Raffle car in 1995 won by a guy in Kamloops B.C. who subsequently sold in to the person I knew. Lacquer paint had shrunk and checked, fortunately I know a painter who does beautiful black. He did the car in PPG Concepts 2000 single stage and it is absolutely outstanding!! It is actually Mrs. NWYENKO's car which allowed me to buy her the tires and wheels for Valentines Day. We are taking it to the Chevy Convention in Coeur D' Alene, Idaho next week for its first judges event since we have owned it. The car is believed to have just over 40k miles. It is a true blast to drive and the factory air blows cold. Jim
