D.U.I. (unfortunate) news of the wierd

A Marietta man left a bar early Sun(8/29) morning, got into an accident that decapitated the passenger in his pickup truck, then drove several miles home and went to sleep-leaving his pickup truck parked in his driveway with the body of his friend hanging out the passenger side window.
Police said that the man drove off a road and hit a support wire to a telephone pole severing his friends head but then continued driving home approx 12 miles.
A neighbor out on a stroll with his 1 yr old daughter called authorities after discovering the headless torso in the parked truck at about 8 am. The driver was arrested in his home Sunday morning where police found him in blood- splattered clothes & charged him with 1st degree vehicular homicide.
Sadly, this happened just a few miles from my home.

Really scary when people get that drunk and don't even know what is happening. But somehow they always think they are ok to drive and can actually find their home.

Worse yet the headless one was engaged to be married soon. What a sight that would have been...a blushing bride and a gushing groom!!
