electro tip and nos relay

I purchase this electro tip and nos relay
many years ago to install on my 70 chevelle. Then
I restored the car and hesitated to install on the car because it was not an option ordered for my car.
What do you think. I know that aproximately only 17
chevelles came with this option and it is supper rare. Should I put it on the car?

How do you know,"Aproximately only 17 Chevelles" came with this option?
Chevrolet records show 331 total Cars built on the line with it.
I wouldn't install it,I'd put it up on Ebay.

Someware in my chevelle files I have a list of
how many cars were built with this option and
the list has many other rare options installed.
If I find it I will post it. Rick are you telling me I should not install it on the car? and honest opinion.

sell it with no reserve. Any how I have never seen one for sale since I purchased mine 20 years ago.

If that list is from YearOne,that's extrapolation figures.

Unless a Car had this particular option installed from the factory,I wouldn't install it on yours.I think the L78's were to early anyway,as it was a later installed option.
A guy who has a 1970 Impala,Station wagon,Monte Carlo or Malibu would want to find & pay more & install it,then someone who doesn't..JMHO

RPO CD-3 Electro-tip Windshield Wiper Intermintent Delay system.

It was installed in the end of the special turn signal arm,like in his picture.
It was the first & only year offered,before it was soon cancelled & redesigned for all the other GM cars in the later years.

Ok Rick I FOUND THE DOCUMENT. It was sent by GM canada
to a Mr a Mr Higgins on Jan 31 2003 for his L78 chevelle
along with the GM papers gm sent him also a page with The Rarity of the 70 396 L78 Model sheet. I copied the documents and part of the document that had the numbers was cut off
by me accidently so I copied the actual numbers by hand
so I could refer to them some day just like now.
So in 2003 GM Canada was sending this sheet along with the verification of options on your Canadian ordered car.
I hope you can see the numbers beside the options. The 17 options of the wipers was not on this sheet I asumed I guess
that there were 17 installed on chevelles as I have seen that number before but cant remember where.
Old age does that to you.
