Default 68Z - restored and all correct

What is the opinion for a very correct 68Z restored going for these days? Solid 980 point car?

I had MacNeish do an appraisal of mine in Jan of this year. It is Level One-Junior-Concours Certified. 46,500.

I know of a private sale of a 68Z a couple of months ago in the mid 60000's. If you would like to PM me I may still have info on the car and would be happy to share it with you off line or direct you to the former owner.

Ed, I am crazy about 68 Camaros so I think they have potential since they are generally less expensive than 69's, but that is just my biased opinion. I really think future gains (or loss) in value on any of these cars is tied to the general health of the US economy, stock prices, housing prices, construction activity, etc more than the car itself. In general, I think that a Camaro is a less risky investment than some other cars as they are a very popular car so hopefully their values will hold or not be so badly hurt in a pullback in prices if and when it comes. Buy what you like and plan on keeping it forever. Just my 2 cents and probably not worth much more than that.

Thanks for the thoughts Bill..anyone else out there have a view of a fair value for a very high point restored 68Z?? Is 40, or 50 or 60 or 70 a right range??

Ed...Why don't you give MacNeish a call. He may know the car you are asking about. When I was looking for one, I called him quite a few times. Most of the cars I was asking about, he already knew of them.
