Default 1968 Chevelle 396SS power steering pump

I got my car less engine and power steering pump. I'm just confused which style of pump. I have air conditioning / short water pump. I just want to know if I need to use the one with a reserve mounted on the fender or the conventional one with the tank on the unit ? It is a late production 1968 Chevelle 396SS. Thank you for your time. Tony

Tony... The correct set-up for all 68 big blocks has the remote reservoir. With the short water pump 68's have, the alternator is directly above the p.s. pump so there is no room to get the fluid into the pump, thus the remote resevoir.

Rick...The car was built in Atlanta. I have the original dealer invoice from the now defunct C.D King Chevrolet, in Russellville Alabama. Anyone ever heard of this dealer??
