Big Block 68 or 69 Pontiac Acadian?

Hello from just north of the border in Canada. Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of or seen a 1968 or 69 Pontiac Acadian (Canadian Nova)with a Big Block. I remember seeing one at a local cruise spot here in Winnipeg from 1987 until 1989. I haven't seen it since. The old guy driving it with a younger relative of his would pull into a spot and proudly display the window sticker in the driver side rear window and wouldn't leave the cars side for too long. The car was dark blue with a big block. I can't recall any other finer details like 4 speed or auto unfortunately, other than the fact that the car was definately not for sale. I recall a few guys saying it was a 427 but it was probably a 396. I think there were 8 or so 427 Parisiennes made (Canadian Bonneville) but I don't think I have ever read about a big block Acadian.
