Default 72 cutlas info

a friend has a 54k mi 72 cutlas, bench seat 4 speed. all orginal with 1 repaint(needs another).It was hi father in laws,he bought it new.
he was supposed to race it in the 70's and got 12.9's w/slicks Iam not sure on the motor 350/400/455.
han't been taged since 1990 and was garaged until recently.

he may want to sell it, but iam not sure if it's worth buying or not...............he didn't offer a price yet.

what do you guys think

I just paid 15,500 for this 4sp :
Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. 4 speed with bucket seats. Options: Power steering, power brakes, power windows, power doors locks, AC, Hood lock, trunk release, am/fm working Stereo, Rally pack gauges, sport steering tilt wheel, 3.42 posi track, type I rally wheels,442 rear bumper, dual exhaust, 350 rocket motor.

this one doesn't have power anything.

looks like this same motor, odd gold color.

was that a 350 rocket thing or was all olds motor painted gold.
were 350/400/455 all the same block

All Olds 350's of that era were painted gold. 350 was a different block than a 400 and 400 was a different block from a 455 and 400 (66-67) was a different block than a 400 (68-69). Are you confused yet? Realoldspower.com is a good information site as well as 442.com. Be forewarned about ROP, you have to have a thick skin to live on that site.

ahhh I got a slick back and stuff just rolls right off.

thanks for the info, I'll see what else I might find about thi car this weekend, I gotta pull the motor from his jet boat for him.
