Default Site info

I own a website domain name, actually 2, and I just to my amazement found out that our personal info is available to anyone over the internet!
This scares me!
Has anyone any thoughts about this???

Do you mean at www.whois.net?

That site has been available forever...it seems...

It's cool to use if you can only remember a portion of a website name...

I located my info thru a different site....

Would think that there would be some ID protection!
Seems to bother me.
I havent much to hide , but...
Well, Bush isnt a popular guy lately looking into us...

I have some with GoDaddy &amp; if you look at the list it will come up with 'their' address, not yours.</font>

I have recieved a reply from the staff at the site and I inquired on how to protect my personal info...
We shall see what his response will be!
I am sure there is something available!
