Default Colin Comer on Muscle car TV show

I was watching the TV show on Spike TV this morning, and they were featuring a 65 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C, and it was Colin Comer really putting the car through its paces! I really like and admire the ZL-1's,Yenkos, and B-M cars, but I think that was the most brutal muscle car ever built! Nice car Colin, good TV footage, and a damn great job driving the car coming out of the turns with some drifting action!

Very cool show, it's not often you get to see one those cars get thrashed! Charley, is that the same Cobra that he had at the reunion?

JT-
Yep, that is the same car that I had at the SCR last year. It just underwent a color change in the meantime, or as I call it, it has entered the Witness Protection Program. LOL

Glad you liked the show... it was REALLY cold the day we shot it (around 40 degrees) , so it was a challenge to do proper tail-out cornering. Those old bias ply race tires don't like cold. So I did the best I could without completely looping the car and perhaps killing the camera crew.

The 65 GTO segment coming up soon (maybe next week) with the GeeTo Tiger will be cool as well. I did a few figure-8's for the guys. We'll see how much of that they feel is appropriate to put on the air.

Regards,
Colin

Colin, thanks for the response, I thought the car you had at SCR was red. Like I said before I really respect all muscle cars as each one is unique in its own way, but the big block, wide hip Cobras are just wicked and are at the top of the muscle car mountain, Great car!

Colin always has fun. While Colin and Mike were still out here after B-J, we went to an indoor carting place here in Glendale. It was basically a ten lap race...Colin lapped me about 3 laps in...and his lap times were crazy quick.

Mike and I had fun, though...

I recorded the program Colin was on to my computer, so I'll look at it tonight

Bruce, you are have the go kart thing all wrong, it wasn't that I lapped you in three laps, it was I lapped you three times in ONE lap My forte is not these sprints and REALLY not 1/4 mile stuff as anybody who watched me race at SCR8 will attest to. (Like Joe Cheeks who told me that I needed to start going when the green light was on. He helped me along by walking over to my car and slapping the quarter panel when it was time to go.)
What can I say, I am just an old Formula Ford and vintage Trans Am enduro guy, I can't adapt to races where you have less than 30 min to move up.

Denis, yes, I do have fun - just trying to keep up with Charley. He holds the record.

Bruce, send me the tutorial on how you save a TV show to your computer and grab still pics. Very cool. Thanks.

Colin
