Default Some Good News for a Change...

Everyday the "media machine" reports the bad news from Iraq but never mentions the good things that happen with our brave service people. Well I am proud to report that my own Karen has just got back from 3 days of skiing with disabled American heros. The Adaptive Sports Foundation at Windham Ski Center sponsored a weekend of ski instruction for over 30 disabled vets who are part of the Wounded Warrior Project. This is the 2nd year for the program and it was a great success despite some rain and very warm February weather. You have to see first hand the look of excitement and pride these vets have when they ski with missing arms and legs. They are truly elated to be doing this and it helps to get them back into everyday life. To say that I am proud of Karen for her work with this would be an understatement! Don't listen to the talking media heads, listen to the guys making the sacrifices..they know the real story. Checkout the story in todays NY Daily News and look for more tomorrow in the NY Post and Long Island Newsday. The NY and Albany tv news channels have also been providing coverage. Your interest and support for these programs are welcome.

a very proud wilma

Glad to see more and more support for our veterans. Our service men & women sacrifice more than most people realize, give Karen a pat on the back for me!
