All right Dan...It's on the road now. The 427 got 464 HP and 489 TQ. I think GM should have made one of these. It is fun. I put the rear end back in it with the arched springs. Sits a lot better now. Gotta get it cleaned up now. Can't wait for roads to clear up.

Tony, what is your engine combo? I am having a 427 built now for my Beaumont. I should be back on the road by the end of next week according to the guy doing my work.

Gonna start working on my 70 L78 th400 car. Former street racer/drag car that is basically a stock L78 with a few upgrades. Has 4.56 gears, traction bars, Accel ignition, trans. cooler. Plan on adding headers, 163, 850 Holley, M&T valve covers. Needs a little TLC but should make a fun driver for shows and cruise nites. Trunk is full of vintage speed stickers from the day. Man does this thing shift fast with those gears....will try to post some photos in a couple of weeks.

Al, do you know Bill Rose in Somerset? I just shipped a steering wheel to him today for his 68 Chevelle.

My new engine will be done next week. Here is my combo: 427 + .060 4 bolt block, 7/16 floating pin rods with Wiseco pistons with approx 10.3 to 1 compression, sq. port 840 (110 CC) cast heads with 2.19/1.88 Manley stainless valves, Crane Gold roller rockers, Crane hydraulic cam with 282 duration and 533 lift, Edelbrock RPM intake with an 850 Holley and 2" Hooker headers. This is going in my 68 Beaumont SD with a 400 trans with a 2500 stall converter and 3.42 posi rearend. What do you think of this combo? What would you guess the hp to be?
Thanks, James
