Service replacements (also known as) NOS can sometimes and most often be different from "Born With Parts" or "Lunch Box Parts". I think pictures of wording on stick would help in determining value.

Thats what I am tring to get an answer on. I am Very well aware of replacement parts that differ from assembly line installed parts. I am tring to get an answer on the Pink plastic plug on the end. has anyone seen one? I have seen Yellow, green and gray. Someone has to know. The important part is the part number which is 3902399. The writing says 67 396,427 camaro, pass. Thanks SYC

My '67 Camaro (L35) has the pink plug. Engine is unrestored. I can post (digital, close-up) pics of the stick if need be. -Bill

Pink plug is correct. The part looks original to me. The writing on the dip stick part is critical, also.

I have seen camaro dip sticks with the flattened loop all the original 67 corvette big block dip sticks have a round tube on the loop. Must be a superceded part for the vett.
