Spring Edition Chevy Vettefest

Chevy Vettefest have once again invited the sYc to do a "supercar showcase" at the Spring Chevy Vettefest. As we did with Helen Gibb and the Gibb cars, we will be doing a display within a display. The club display will be open to all member supercars/musclecars with emphasis on Nickey Chevrolet cars and related memorabilia. The dates are April 1&2, 2006, in the South Building of McCormack Place. Anyone wanting to attend and take part in the display please contact me for a “Supercar Showcase” entry form and I will either fax or email it to you.

Also Bob would like for anyone taking part in the showcase to email him a picture of your car. [email protected]

Just received a very nice flier in the mail outlining the Spring show. It is very well done and has a nice article about Nickey Chevrolet. It's about 20 pages long and lists alot of winners from the Spring '05 show. Thanks alot guys for the pleasant invitation/reminder. I'll be there.

I can hardly contain my excitement about the show.

Tom Clary and Stefano Bimbi have assembled some of the finest Supercars in the country and what I believe may be the very best Showcase Collection ever assembled at the Chevy Vettefest.

Any one of these vehicles would be worth the price of admission! Mike Gaurise will display FIVE of his fine Nickey cars, Tom Stephani will showcase the Vinegaroon Race Car along with some of his incredible Nickey memorabilia collection and the list of other Nickey, Yenko, COPO and other Supercars is absolutely incredible.

The Corvette "Salute To the 6's" Showcase will also be sure to impress with Corvettes of 56/66/76/86/96 & 06 featured.

Let me step down from my "Promoters" Podium for a moment and offer a sincere THANKS to all who have agreed to be a part of the show, either as participants or as spectators.

We have a lot of work ahead of us but with the support of the sYc, the Supercar Registry and the many enthusiasts, I feel that the Chevy Vettefest will once again become an absolute MUST SEE show for all of us.

I for one cannot wait to see the Nickey Chicago part of the sYc display. I know Steve and associates have been hard at work putting that portion of our display together. With Tom and a former employee or two on hand, ought to be very entertaining and informative.

And Helen Gibb will once again be in our display visiting with folks.
