Default 69 396 Chevelle value?

Was talking to someone who picked up a 69 Chevelle 396 4 speed he wants to sell. Claims it's all original but the body is pretty well shot. Car runs and drives. Comes with good fenders and replacement quarters. Will post more... numbers, etc. when I see the car. I was just wondering what a ballpark price would be.

John,

The members of this site including myself will be of more help when you tell us more about the car. The most important factor of course would be documentation. However you could have a line up of 69 Chevelles and most likely there would only be a few with docs.

The other factor will be the rust and how much there is? You`ll have to ask yourself is the car worth restoring.

Anyway goodluck and take lots of pictures. You might be surprised to find a convertable or a 300 Deluxe SS Coupe or Post Sedan.

Dan.

All he told me is that its an original SS 396 and it is bad rusty but it runs. He's having it hauled to my area from somewhere this week and is supposed to have it Thursday. WIll know more then and have pics. I know he has very little money in it.

The main thing in determining the price is if it is a L34 or a L78. There is a HUGE difference in the prices.
