I’m thinking about repainting my car and am looking for opinions.
The Hugger Orange paint job on my 69Z is close to 10 years old and has typical road wear as I drive it as much as I can. There are a couple of inconspicuous, self-induced injuries that need repairing, and what I would consider sub-standard body workmanship and preparation that needs to be addressed. The car should have black stripes and a black vinyl roof, but when I bought the car no vinyl roof and the Z stripes were painted white. I don’t have an ounce of paperwork, but based on dates, casting numbers and date stamps I believe I have the born with drive train. Should I decide to have the car repainted with black stripes and spend the $$ to install a black vinyl roof as it left the factory what would I expect? 1) Increases the value just enough to offset the costs to add the vinyl roof. 2) Increase the value a bunch - Don’t hesitate to make the changes back to original. 3) Won’t increase the value one dime - Don’t waste the $$ on the vinyl roof because most people (the market) think vinyl roofs on Camaro’s are ugly. Thanks
