Default Preventing a Theft W/ LoJack

Seeing where the values of classic rides are heading, have any of you ever considered installing a LoJack tracking system on your vehicles in case the unthinkable happens.

My garage has a security system along with over 220 pounds of caninne perimeter security. My biggest fear would be coming home and finding the security wires cut, the dogs knocked out and the Garage empty. This would at least get you the chance of a possible recovery.

With what happened to Larry's car also got me thinking. If they had LoJack would they be found now. Also if your transporting a car and some low life rips off your trailer you have a chance of tracking him down.

Just kind of curious to see if any of you have thought of this or tried it.

I'm thinking Mike Wowk did that...he has his enclosed trailer stolen from the same convention parking lot, 2 consecutive years! Talk about lightning striking the same place twice...if I recall, he never saw his stuff again. Sounds like a killer idea to me...

I was reading an article i found while cruising the net about tracking.Made LOJACK sound way out dated. This device could even be tracked by you and you using your computer instantly. You could find out where the tracking device was anywhere in the USA!Also the device was pretty small and hard to locate which lojack is pretty easy to locate as per the article. The article talked about how th theives now look for lojack system and rip them out.The device they aere discussing was pretty darned small the way the article read. For the life of me I do not remember the name of the system. I will try to locate it again.Maybe some of you guys have already heard of it and can share it with others. They did not discuss price about the system just that it could be tracked by you,by Police, very small and almost undectable. To my knowledge lojack can only be tracked by Police. Has anyone read anything about what I am talking about.

Thanks Bobby. That's pretty interesting. Didn't mean to limit it just to LoJack but until now I thought they were the only ones who offered that.

Try this web site:
http://microtrakgps.com/
Offered by the Sharper Image, but probably available elsewhere.
A bit pricey IMHO, but that's just me.
Easily attaches to kids, teenagers, spouses and elderly relatives as well as personal property.
This is another link to try:
http://hafnergpstracking.com/
I did a google search for these things, there is a bunch of them out there. Did you know that you could be sued for violating someones privicy rights, for tracking them without their knowledge, even if they stole your car?
With my luck, someone could steal my car and I would end up owing them $$$.
Only in America.

Wouldn't it be something for you to have a device like this and then some THEIF steals your car! You track him and he is arrested! On his way out of jail you pass him only to be going to jail for betraying his rights! Well to make a long story short! Many years ago there was a huge salvage yard that stored hundreds of cars! People were going inat night and stealing them blind! Well they put in guard dogs but failed to put up sihns! A local thief that everyone knew was in there one night goint to steal a 4 speed! The dogs got him and chewed on him a little before he got away! Well hr had to go to the hospital and get some attention and then got an Attorney and sued the place for not warning about the dogs! This is 100% true I happend to know the guy very well. And he still continued his ways of taking things that did not belong to him .One night why trying to steal a guys GTO he was shot with a 12 gauge shotgun in the head by the owner of the GTO and died on the spot inside the GTO.The owner of the GTO lived about 5 houses away from my Sister and was a really stand up guy.He had to go through a lot of $%^&% to get out of that mess! But after that everyone knew that they would not have to worry about old Monroe taking anything that belong to them.
