Default 69 GTX Convertible

Could you get a 440-6PAK (A12) Option on 69 GTX Convertible?
Thanks

no. only A12 69 1/2 road runners/superbees. i'm baffled that it shows up on fendertag. however, examine the buildsheet and fendertag and there is an L in fifth didget. (L 440-4 HP 1967-69)

that BJ GTX was a minnesota car. i have been to many shows with my RR and the previous owner was a good guy.

I think that the "A12" represents the projected build date of the car, in this case October 12, 1969. The fact that A12 is the code for the 6 pack option is just a coincidence. If it appeared in the line above it would be a different story. Marc

Neat car. The seller does pretty good at spelling all the more complicated wording in the ad, but he messes up "radio T/A tiers"?

The A12 on that fender tag is the date built and not for an A12 package. The engine would be an M-code as well.

A typical A12 Road Runner or Superbee tag would look like this, All I believe were built at the Lynch Road plant. Lynch Road cars always had a unique looking fender tag as compared to the other plants. The car in the auction was built at another plant.

18135 286428 9A282996

926 999 93

26 A12

1X 8X

R4 R4 H2X X9

WM23 E63 D32 426 922105

The vin would either start with an R for a plymouth or a w as above for a dodge. The seller is just looking to draw more attention and $$$ to an already cool and rare car. All A12 cars started life as 383 4bbl cars as the E63 code shows in the example shown. The 426 in the example is the scheduled production date ( APR 26th)
