Wow! They are big, that is for sure. Hopefully enough publicity gets out and people start shopping elsewhere. Maybe when they lose 50% of their sales they will rethink their tactics.
I have had only one dealings with Bill Heard Chevrolet involving a Z-06 purchase at their Arizona dealership and it was not a pleasant one. I was actually doing them a favor and giving them some PR on top of it all. What a shame to take advantage of their customers like that. ![]() I have felt many times that I was getting a deal that was almost too good to be true at Grossman Chev here in MN but that did not stop me from doing my homework. I pretty much knew what the cost of my truck was before I bought it so I knew how much room I had. It appeared that he was trading in a Mercedes so I did not think $8000 over trade in was such a great deal that it could not have been true. That truck likely listed for somewhere in the mid to upper $20's. ![]() Rick |

They do the same thing here in houston also, some stories I have heard are horoffic. If I was that guy that bought that truck and I had the key! Well I would be driving that sucker off the lot and back somewhere to hide it.I bet the attorney will have to get involved in this one. Such a sorry way to do business. And they blame it on the salesman, doesen't the sales manager sign off on all deals!

With all of those complaints you'd think that GM would step in and hold them accountable in some way; maybe take away their dealership rights? I don't know; it doesn't present them in the best light.

First Bill Heard owned Jumper Chev. here in Atl. told me a new Z06 would be 10-20k over MSRP this summer. I told them I would buy a Viper first. Then I stumbled into this new dealer in Dawsonville, just north of Atl and those crooks offered me a blk Z, just off the truck for MSRP. Two wasted hours later I left w/o the Z of course.
I am so aggravated at Chev right now that last week I traded my SS Silverado for an SRT-10 Viper truck. I should have done that long ago! My next new domestic car will be the new Viper next spring. On top of all that I've got 3 02 Camaros that I'm going to have to fight with GM over who's going to fix the bubbling roof paint!! I think I can guess the outcome of that one. |

GM will protect the consumer in the event of fraud comitted by one of their dealers in the event of not getting clear title or buying a vehicle that has had its VIN tampered with. I would think that they would step in in this case.

Wow! The sales manager and finance manager should have sighed off on the deal. And if the Mercedes was a trade then the used car manager may have been involved as well. Blame it on the salesman and then make him call the guy back looking for an $11k bump. That is weak.
