Just found this listed as a VIN and Cowl tag with title for sale. I reported it to Ebay.

It is absolutely illegal to sell a VIN tag. (Please let's not rediscuss what has been discussed ad-infinitum already) Cowl tags are not illegal to sell but if you put another tag on your car and then represent it as the "new" car you will get sued civilly in court for money damages by one of the future owners of the car when they find out that the Hugger Orange Z/28 they thought they had was actually a green 6 cyl coupe originally. I emailed the seller and he is pulling the auction (if ebay doesnt pull it first). He seemed to be a reasonable guy and didnt realize that it was illegal to sell vin tags since he said he saw them offered in the past on ebay.

Looks like more than the tag is present. Is that part of the dash or firewall?
