Default Somebody's Messin' with eBay

Anyone else notice all the X-rated pictures of beautiful women posted with phony car auctions on eBay yesterday? Looks to me like someone was trying to keep the eBay auction police busy....and I'd say they were successful. As soon as they'd toast some of the auctions, more would pop up.

Could it be an attempt at "phishing" for eBay member information? Word of mouth gets this kind of thing passed around quickly and then everyone is clicking on eBay car auctions to look at the photos.

Sounds like the same thing I mentioned in that thread last week when I had clicked on a GTO auction and there was no car...just pics of some skanky broad jazzing herself and offering a good time to the auction winner?.

Personally I'm getting tired of the eBay foolishness and more importantly the risks of being on there...worse yet is what seems a lack of effort on eBay's part to make simple changes that would help protect the innocent users..

The way things have become on eBay in the past year, it appears only a matter of time before they get hit with a heavy value suit or even a Class-Action suit that would stick as they seem an easy target for legal action when they know how to fix something but fail to do so?.

you mean something tougher than reaching for that donut they dropped under the seat?

!? Ebait auction police

with all the nonsense they have for sale I would figure the Chief of the Ebait Aucion Police (EAP)would be the brother of the Maytag repairman.
