Some Great Music...Check it out if you can.
Seems like this group has a interest in music judging from the threads the past couple of weeks so I thought I would chime in with this. This past Saturday I took the wife off the farm, across the river and into another state to catch a show about 40 miles away. Got a baby sitter for the kids and we were off to have some good ol Saturday night fun! We saw Dierks Bentley in concert and the show was awesome. This guy is not only a great songwriter but he's full of energy and is down to earth. He put on a 2 hour show that had the whole house moving. I have been involved with music since I was a kid and this guy is the BEST I have seen in a long time. His early influences were Johhny Cash and Waylon Jennings yet he moves about the stage and enagages the crowd like Springsteen did in the mid to late 70's before he hit the stadium scene. Dierks puts on quite a show and absolutley loves what he does and what he gets back from the crowd. This is his first tour as a headliner and if he comes to your neck of the woods check it out if you can.
On this particular leg of the tour he had Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean open for him. Little Miss Kerosene packs a pretty good punch in her show. She also has a bass player with a mohawk that stands straight up...never seen that in a country act before. She really enjoys what she's doing and fills out a pair of Levis quite well. Jason Aldean was rocking the house especially when he did a set of some GNR songs. He's not shy and humble does not appear to be part of his vocabulary. All and all still a high energy act too~
There was over 3 1/2 hours of some great music. If Dierks and his crew make it close to you and you want to hear a fresh act with a lot of talent, give him a shot. I don't think you'll have a bad time~
If we could only get Dierks and his band to spend sometime at SCR X that would be awesome......
