Sorry that this its late but...with work and the recent back injury...well
![]() Enjoy! Here are some pics of my 1969 Impala SS427 L72, numbers matching, restored, documented. This 1969 Impala SS427 Custom Coupe was purchased from Don Norem Chevrolet/Buick, Inc. of Bozeman, MT. The original owner (1969-2003) has been contacted, as has the original selling dealership owner, both confirming the L72 pedigree. The current 512 CE (the original was removed in 1976 due to poor fuel efficiency and it's whereabouts unknown) block was assembled to stock specs with correct date coded components. In deference to GTODON, I like the snorkle air cleaner and don't care about the missing smog system . The trans. and rear axle are original to the car, as is most everything else. The car was rust-free except for spots on the front fenders and hood, which were replaced with parts from a donor car of the same color. The Impala came with the Z24 option package and included the following: - Frost Lime exterior color - Black vinyl interior w/ front bucket seats - Black vinyl top - Console - Tilt Steering - AM radio - 8 track tape player w/multiplex (it works ) - Tinted glass - L72 425ci/425hp engine - M21 close-ratio Muncie 4 speed transmission - 3.55:1, 12-bolt posi-traction rear axle - Simulated wire wheel covers - Power steering and power brakes ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice car Joe. Thanks for sharing. Who'd ever think this docile appearing creature would be packing the serious heat that she is. What's it like to mash the go-pedal?!

Cool car; one question, back when they were new how were they viewed by the street crowd? Were they feared or looked at as a big car with a big engine? With all of the nasty cars coming out of Detroit back then I wonder if the guys on the street paid much attention to these cars.

Very nice car Joe. It is always nice to see these cars get the attention and recognition they deserve. Not a small musclecar but a musclecar none the less.
