I believe that Carfax requires a 17 digit VIN.

What year is the car? CARFAX requires a 17 digit vin and only goes back to 1981 I think. I tried to run it for you but CARFAX will not take that vin. Nils

Carfax is okay to use as a reference, but do not put too much faith in its accuracy. Many people have reported missing information and discrepencies with the reports they have received.
