Default 70 L78 Camaro

Hello, I'm looking at a 70 Camaro with L78 on the cowl tag here locally. It was a race car for years then set out in a field. No motor, trans, rearend. You can see where an emblem or something was on the left side of the license plate but the holes are bondoed up now. It has speed shop stickers under the deck lid from New Jersey. Car has the large three piece spoiler and is 7C on the tag. Interior is 711 and paint is 14 14. Is there anyway of telling if this was a COPO or something other than just a SS L78 in its day? Thanks, Larry.

No COPO spoiler unless it has some sort of paper. Also the window for the COPO spoiler was very limited as with other options (Cowl hood, chambered exhaust etc) it was only offered for a short time. I do not know how much rarer you get than a '70 L78 Camaro...

What are the names of the New Jersey Speed Shops?
Maybe someone here in Jersey can help?

Hello, I proably didn't word that right. Not meaning a L78 wasn't a good find. Just trying to distinguish any differnce between a stock car and one that has had a dealer emblem on it at some point and time. I didn't have my camera and I didn't write down the NJ speed shop on the stickers. I want to say DJ's? The car is ruff but the real thing. Larry.
