Default 69 Firebird conv. in storage White with T/A hood

A few week ends ago I was going up the 5 leaving LA going towards Bakersfield. Just as I was getting out of the San Fernando valley I looked to my right and saw a white 1969 Firebird convertible with a trans am hood and blue stripes. It was in a storage lot between some trucks. I only saw it as I was driving by doing 60 mph. I thought I would look at it on the way home but my hands were full pulling a trailer and El Camino that weighed a 1,000 pounds more than the 4-runner I was using to pull them with. The car can be seen from the freeway so I am sure other people have seen it also. Does anybody else know about it?

I thought it would be fun to see what happens. I really did see the car but I will never buy something that I will have to put on a trailer again.

I used to pull cars with a 4Runner. Try going down a hill pulling something that weighs more than the 4Runner - scary!

U-haul would not rent me a trailer, I thought who are they to tell me what I can do. So I rented a trailer from another company and what ride that was. The 4-runner has a V-8 and big 4-wheel disc brakes so there was no problem going up and down hills but the lack of weight and wheelbase would not let me go over 50 mph safely with the trailer loaded. I ended up back in L.A. on a Saturday night and everybody else is doing 85 mph or more. It made me a very unpopular person on the roads that night.

Hey Bruce, I read in one of your posts you were coming to LA. You have a whole group of people out here that would love to see you when you get a chance. I found another car get together in Irvine that happens every Saturday morning. There a few muscle cars mixed in with the GT-40 Fords, Lamborginis, Ferraris and Porches. What is kind of neat is that some manufactures and tuners are bringing out there one off cars or pre-production cars to get feed back. The dealer is a neat store with great people and I hope I found a home. But after working 18 years for the Penske auto groups it is a little different.

Mark...

T. of O. is definitely a great group of people...

As far as coming to the "OC"...I've been there and come home already. We actually went to near Lake Tahoe to visit my dad...whose health hasn't been the best lately. He's doing much better now.

We were in OC last Saturday afternoon...until Sunday night...then drove home

We are planning another trip out before school starts. When, is anybodies guess...I will let you OC guys know as soon as we figure it out!
