Default Back from Italy

Well guys, I am back from the trip to Italy with the family.

Man, the cops have some cool cars there, alfa romeo's! Looks like they are not sold in the USA, yet, but GM owns some of alfa and the rumor is that they will eventually be here.

Long trip. great trip. I'll post more pics as I decompress and go through them.

Rich

Great pics! I haven't been since '02 and can't wait to go back! My mouth started to water when I saw the prosciutto's hanging. The cop cars have performance mods from the factory.
........and Calabria is splendid isn't it?
I'd luv to bring a 6 speed equipped muscle car and run it up and down the Autostrada's!

The food was unbelivable! Simple things like tomato, cheese and toasted bread tasted like 4 star dining. And the wine was even better.

The beach pics are of a small Sicilian town about 30 miles east of Palermo. Called Cefalu'. That building on the cliff is actually the hotel we stayed at, the Hotel Kalura. I definatly recommed it. That parade was shot in Cefalu as well.

We were supposed to stay in Bisaquena, Corleone. That is where the Gagliano side of the family is from. The Perniciaro side is from Mezzajuka, Corleone. After having lunch in Corleone, the wives were not happy about staying, so we took the advice in a travel guide and went to Cefalu'. Great choice as it turns out.

We rented a few rice burners and drove the autostrada, that was a blast.

Looks like a nice time. My Grandparents were also from Palermo.
