Need help finding car
Hello all,
I am helping my friend look for his father's old car. The family has lived in Rhode Island their entire lives. The car was a red 1969 Chevy Chevelle SS, with a black vinyl top. The car had crager mags on it in the pictures I have seen of it, with what appears to be 10 or 11 in. wide rear tires, and the traditional skinny fronts. This car was street driven, and was registered. The engine at the time the car was sold ( about 20 years ago ), was an L88 427 that was found residing in a junkyard. It was rebuilt by the father, put in the car, and street raced. The father's name is John Parker.
I know it would be much help if we had a vin number to go by, but his father is in the process of moving and finding time to get into the old paperwork boxes isn't working out too well. I will try to aquire the pictures and scan them in. In the mean time, anybody here in Rhode Island who remembers a car like described above, any help or info you may have is appreciated.
