I have the frame, floor pans and rear end area cleaned up pretty good on the nova. Is there anything I can/should spray on the frame rails, driveshaft, springs, floor pans etc. to retard the surface rust and keep the natural metal colors and body overspray intacted? Thanks!

If you aren't gonna repaint anything anytime soon, try one of the wax spray protectant. If you get too much on, you can wipe it off and not harm anything. My cousin used some on his El Camino in the doors and around the quarter lips to inhibit rust. I don't know the name of it though.

Sam, the boeshield is the ticket!! Works great I have used it on bare metal parts and it protects them. My friend and SYC member Steve (68l30) turned me on to it. He knows where you can buy it..

Here is another good one, Sprayon 710.
I know MSC carries it. I get it at the local bearing supply. It is a bit heavier than LPS #3 also a corrosion preventive compound. http://www.themanstoreonline.com/PhotoDe...+Waxy+Film+Lube Mike |

Here is a neat product that has great reviews and you can get a free sample as well. It is called Fluid Film. Fluid Film is formulated from specially processed wool-wax, highly refined petroleum oils and selected agents to provide corrosion control, penetration, metal wetting and water displacement. These long lasting products contain no solvents, will not dry out and will penetrate to the base of all metals, providing corrosion protection from both natural and industrial atmospheres. It is sold at all John Deere dealers and others.
web page For a sample send an email request for it to '[email protected]' I am waiting for my sample now. I am going to undercaot my truck with this stuff for winter protection. Do search on the web you can find it on You tube and several other forum discussions. Give a try, I am.
