Default COPO Chevelle 300 Deluxe

A guy on Team Chevelle says a friend of his found a 69 Chevelle 300 that is a Canadian car with documents showing it is a COPO. I didn't thenk there were and 300 Deluxe COPOs.

Let`s wait and see....if it is true. This will be definetly 1 of 1. Since it is a Canadian built car...the paper work will prove it.

If it is Canadian built, it won't be a COPO nor an L78. In '69 they came from US plants. Oshawa built neither.

Maybe it was just sold in Canada when new. As Dan said, we'll have to wait and see.

Sedan or hardtop? I have thot for awhile that the ultimate 69 Chevelle would have been one with the COPO option and using a 300 Sedan platform. Would have been lighter and stronger (B pillar) than a Malibu COPO.

Nirvana would be an SS wheel delete w/ poverty caps. Of course there'd be a bow tie on the Grill and a big ol' "300" on the front fenders. Talk about SLEEPER! O.K. back to reality

Sam,

I recently picked up a 300 deluxe sedan and plan to make it a 427 sleeper car. It is the one car I would have ordered if I were of age and if it were available at the time.

Oddly, it has AC which doesn't seem like much of an option with it being 10 degrees outside right now, but with Ohio heat and humidity in July and August, it will be welcome.

It wil be interesting to see if the car this thread is about is for real.

Phil Woj.
