I mentioned the possibility of these cars here in the past but have never known the whole story and believe the comments posted the other night are the first anyone w/ knowledge of these cars has appeared here?.
If there's been threads on these cars here before, someone please link them.. From what I understand, '67 (& maybe '66?) L78 and L72 Beaumonts called Cheetahs were built and delivered from this BC Canada Dealer...no idea on their others years A-Body cars or if they offered F or X Body transplants too?. To find out more about these cars, a separate thread seemed appropriate.. Posted below is where we were at in the thread a few nights ago...lets dig deeper and see what can be uncovered?!. ~ Pete ![]() Quote: ------------------------------------------------------------ PeteLeathersac I remember reading once about a Beaumont 427 Dealer Supercar from BC Canada...Cheetahs maybe?. I think there's one or more known?. Anyone know of any or what dealer it was?. ~ Pete --------------- StriperSS It was Conroy Pontiac Buick in West Vancouver, just off the Lions Gate bridge. I'll try to find a photo of one of the cars. ------------------------------------------------------------ PeteLeathersac Cool!!! Were they called Cheetahs or something else?. L72's?. ~ Pete ------------------------------------------------------------ StriperSS Yes, Cheetahs. This is the only photo I could find of one, a 67 with an L72. http://alparkers.ca/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=6250 |
