Default WJ vs. Da Grump @ B-J?

I was there last year when Bill Jenkins car sold for a half-mil +..... Wow...what xxxxcitement Did you see the disappointment on WJ's face this year when they couldn't get his Olds Firenza past 90k? (after Craig Jackson once again claiming it to be Waaayyyyy under the value) The Monza spoke for itself with its complete, under the hood finishing touches, whereas WJ's car looked like an Olds crate-engine, with rubber...yes...RUBBER fuel lines (no AN fitting, no braided lines, and a bunch of street junk, etc...)

The car guys know the difference, as the final selling price of WJ's car stated. Just an observation..

Did you see this car in person?
the car is #2 and the motor is #02 one of the original motors that was run in the car.
only thing not original on the motor was the water pump.
not sure if they used an fittings and braided line back then. (would have to see a pic from back then)

i predicted it would go for 60k,but 90k still is cheap compared to the rest of the crazy bids.

his hurst olds prostocker would have probably pulled more.

You can't have on more than 1 foot of rubber fuel lines total on any car at a NHRA track. That's been enforced I know for 15 years.
