Freight Shipping

Can anyone here recommend a reliable and reasonably priced freight shipper? I have a rear end I want to ship and UPS Freight is quoting me $1135.00 to the west coast. That just sounds completely rediculous. Is that a hose job quote or is that ball park? Thanks for helping a freight noob out
