Hi, I need help finding out what the application my front shocks are on my biscayne??? I am trying to figure out if they are the originals?? They are stamped Delco Canada, PLIACELL, 7 E 1. Anyone have a parts book they can see what they come up as?? Please help. Andrew.

I don't know for sure,but I thought Pliacells were generally not put on US assembled cars untill sometime after 1972 production.
Monte Carlo/Grand Am & Olds Cutlass used them as std. equipment beginning in 1973 I think.. Looks like a 67 date code on yours..Canada might have been using them earlier.Where was your biscayne built..St.Therese maybe? |

My car was built in Oshawa. The date code translates to may 1 1967?? Also the shocks are not the spiral design just straight tube?? Is this correct for a 67??? The rear shocks have the same date code as well. And are part # 3194267. Im trying to figure out if these are F41 shocks too?? Thanks Andrew.

It doesn't look like those are F41 equipment.
I think they would've been using spiral tube shocks originally,but Canada builds have been found to have different configured parts on them compared to the US. If not original equipment,they sound like they may have been put on soon after delivery. |

Oops back to the original 1st post the part #'s are 3186972 fronts and 3194267 rears.
