MCACN 2020 Car Show Guide Magazine
First...YES, we are full speed ahead and confident that Illinois will be in the clear by November in time for the MCACN show.
We are making all of the necessary adjustments to create a safe and comfortable environment for all of our spectators, participants and staff. This includes all new entry, expanded box office sales, expanded electronic ticket scanning and much more. The building has also been a huge help in working with us. I have been hard at work on our new full color magazine. As always, I have two "problems". First, we have way more than I can put into 84 pages, but I'll do my best to make it something that convinces everyone they need to be at the show IN PERSON. Being the 50th Anniversary of the 1970 model year, we already have close to 200 1970 model year cars registered. And we have another 100+ of other years signed up! With capacity for a bit over 500, if you are on the fence, please submit your entry now. If you are on our mailing list, you will receive your FREE copy in the mail. If you aren't, or aren't sure if you are, sign up here; https://www.mcacn.com/car-show-guide-sign-up The second problem is that we have so many great cars with lousy photos. Example; I have FIVE LS6 converts signed up, and not one usable picture of any of them. So if you are joining us, PLEASE send me some nice clear photos to [email protected]. The entry form only allows one picture, so send them to me directly, and as many good ones as you can. I also use these fror facebook, ads and other ways to spread the word about the show. We depend on spectator gate to survive, so please plan on joining us when we return to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. Remember...this IS NOT McCormick Place or even Chicago for that matter, and Rosemont is easily accessible by car or nearby O'Hare Airport. Our Official Host Hotels are all within walking distance, and there are all kinds of bars, restaurants and everything else you could want, also within walking distance. Looking forward to seeing you in November! I post news and cars on our facebook page nearly every day, so be sure to watch that. Any questions can be directed to me at [email protected] Thanks! I will get you updated photos of John G's convert and Michael R's convert. The green convertible was going to be registered by the owner if he decided to show it which I have not heard back from. Rick
