1966 Chevelle, 138 vin, real SS, not the original motor, no paperwork, was a real 4 speed, now a Th400, should be blue, now is red, all original body which is basically flawless, original 1/4s, fenders, floors, trunk etc, original untouched interior.
Ameture frame off of a rust free frame, engine compartment needs attention... freshly painted that looks presentable if not better, nothing I cannot handle myself - detail wise... Motor is a '65 dated L78 out of a '65 Corvette... What do you think its worth? I want to make a day-2 car... in this case, numbers do not matter... Thanks, Dan

Sounds alot like the car bulletpruf has for sale on this site. I would say 15-17k. The engine alone is worth a good bit.

Jason [/ QUOTE ] I am not talking about his car per say, but something in the same neighborhood just with a cleaner body (not knocking his car one bit). Thanks for the input. I'm guessing the car is worth about $10,000.

Geography can play an important part here..66's thrive in some areas, not as much in others.I've seen a car like that bring $7000.00 in the northwest,$11-14000.00 in southeast.
